MacDonald, a native of PEI, spent this past season with the Halifax Mooseheads. Before that, he served as an Assistant Coach with the University of Prince Edward Island for two seasons, following two seasons as an assistant with the Grand Falls Rapids of the Maritime Hockey League. As a player, he spent three seasons as a forward with the Summerside Western Capitals.
